Research in Naval History, Traditions and Culture

History of sea states is full of significant military, political, economic and cultural events. Each state having Naval Force Corps appreciates its naval traditions, tries to preserve and enrich its maritime heritage. International conferences provide invaluable opportunities for academic community to share their research experience and generalize studies of history and development of fleets and naval forces all over the world.

The First International Congress of Eurasian Maritime History was held in Istanbul in 2012. Academicians from 21 countries presented more than 100 papers. The Russian delegation consisted on historians of Moscow and Saint-Petersburg.
